A Wonderful Evening

I just went to my friend's place for a party...AMAZING !! I was in sooo much bliss that I wrote another poem :

Yesterday, was so amazing
I experienced a joy that set my soul blazing
A happiness to be around my closest of friends
Enjoy food whose limits had no ends
Covered in crazy string
Or playing Truth or Dare in a ring
It was so much fun, in every possible way
Thanks so much for such an amazing day
(And I do confess the dancing made me go"Hooray")

Why i keep using "amazing" everywhere i'll never know....

Whoa !!

I just got a call from my best friend telling me that Michael Jackson died.... I took it as an absolute joke ....
Then she told me that the whole thing was playing on TV. I saw the whole thing on CNN... OMG! Was I ever shocked! This is such a huge blow to so many people ! Im watching so many of his fans on tv, I am so shocked..... he was so amazing , his songs have cherished my entire "childhood" , even now.... I AM JUST SOOO SHOCKED !

Here's a poem that just hit me :

The king of Pop
Who danced to each of his songs with a hop
put a certain groove
into his music, that made you move
His famous moonwalk and Thriller
And concerts that were a house-filler
He was amazing and will be missed
For all his songs that always had a twist...

Poetry

Just finished off the reception of my report card when I came up with this :

Tears roll down your face
caused by the marks that were a disgrace
A shocking , shameful proof
that made you feel like a goof
What could've gone wrong
After I spent those hours long
learning word after word
No matter how absurd
Commited it to memory
The cell's periphery,
Newton's derivations of motion,
and so much math it put my brain in a commotion
These papers are reminders to study
even if you've got an early plan with a buddy
These marks can't be changed, true
Upon reading them, you
come to a conclusion
that is no illusion
All I need to do is to understand and practice ,
put my heart into it for what it is
And I know by term two,
I'll have much more to do
But I'll be better , I really will
And see my improved scores with a thrill.

Since I am in a very good mood right now.....I guess I'll share some more :

This came up when the financial crisis just began :

Millions wallow in debt
Over savings for which they wept
On which a close eye Madoff kept
Even while he slept

Many jobs are at stake or lost
All at the cost
Of a cunning man's
Basic and simple plans

This "happened" when I had lunch from a japanese restaurant :

It's a fact
That you make a pact
With such exotic food
That enhances your mood

I have absolutely NO idea what I was thinking of when I came up with this :

In the distance is a cave
A destination for a late night rave
Limestone cutaway, colour of cream
lined by a little stream
Stalagmites and stalacites seem to gleam
When illuminated by a single light beam
It is so quiet in this domain
That it is possible to hear the echo of a single drop of rain.

I also had a fight with my best friend for the most stupidest reason.....felt awful and wrote a poem apologising to her , expressing the fact that i thought i was awful , and writing down how (honestly) amazing she was to put up with me :

I am extremely sorry
from the bottom of my heart
Truth be told, I feel tart
So awful about what I did to you
So bad about what I put you through
I'm guilty as charged, a delinquence
Awaiting the consequence
Of my tempermental reaction
An unneccesary action
I heard you forgive me ;
telling me that we were alright
But i've got to tell you that inspite,
of what you tell me
My conscience wont be free
I want to make it up to you
Tell me what to do,
Get you tons of chocolate , or paint up a wall
No task is too big or small.
I won't stop until I've paid my debt
To someone who cheered me when I wept
To someone as special as you,
Who wants to show the world who I am
Not just an introvert clam.
You are amazing , you really are,
You're my star !

That's about it for now..... or until I find more stuff

Limericks

Hello everybody:

Here are a few limericks I wrote the other day:

There once was a girl who played Tennis
Who to her opponent was a menace
She played an amazing serve
That tended to swerve
And make her opponent grimace

The theses proposed by Lenin
Collectivisation by Stalin
All compiled into History
Which is such a huge mystery
About which my friend is mopin'

The first one came out when I was thinking about one of my best friends (who happens to play tennis) and the second one, when i was studying for my history paper.
